This course will introduce students to intermediate/advanced computing applications on the forefront of
professional planning practice. It combines lectures, readings, discussions, and hands-on exercises to help
students with GIS background develop more advanced knowledge and techniques for planning decisionmaking.
This course focuses on raster and network data and analysis. The objective is to prepare students
to enter professional planning practice with cutting edge computing skills for professional planning
practice in the use of GIS software.
