This seminar course, limited to 20 students, is intended for advanced graduate Urban Planning and Architecture students, particularly those interested in urban design. It is intended to familiarize planners and designers with the financial decision-making process in real estate development which actually determines the shape of urban environments. A primary objective of the course is to prepare students to calculate basic financial feasibility, such that they will be able to determine whether a scheme of their own creation would have a chance of being constructed under prevailing market conditions.
