This course discusses various facets of urban and environmental planning. Primary goal of planning profession is to improve the welfare of people and communities by creating more convenient, equitable, healthful, efficient, and attractive places for present and future generations. Students are also introduced to the concept of environmental sustainability, which is an important part of contemporary planning practice.
