MEDIA 4 will address the development of formal organization through techniques of
drawing and modeling. Lectures and workshops will address multimedia communication,
representation, and skill building. Building from the application of the skills students gained in
Media 1-3, the class will primarily focus on the use of line, surface, volume and color in analog
and digital modeling. In addition, targeted exercises will develop the students’ abilities to
represent site conditions, work with color, collaboratively develop graphic strategies, and
explore the sketch as a medium of both documentation and communication of ideas.
